A tipping bucket, a magnetic sensor and MicroPython to detect rain for an educational radar prototype.
Within the team, I compared and selected the reed switch, wrote the acquisition code, positioned the magnets, prepared diagrams and tested the rain-detection module with water.
The prototype detects bucket tipping and maintains a rain state. The archived programs use a 10-minute timeout after the last event.
